Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 23, 2026
Pushie Inc. ("Pushie," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Daydream desktop video-editing application ("Daydream Desktop") and the website at daydreamvideo.com (the "Site"), together the "Services." This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the rights you have over it.
If you live in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, California, Canada, or another jurisdiction with specific privacy rights, this Policy includes sections addressed to you.
If you do not agree with this Policy, do not use the Services.
1. Who we are
Pushie Inc. is a Delaware C corporation.
- Contact for privacy questions: support@daydreamvideo.com
For the purposes of the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"), Pushie Inc. is the controller of personal information collected through the Services.
2. A note on where your content lives
Daydream Desktop is a local application. The video, audio, and project files you import stay on your device. Two features transmit content-derived data to our servers or to service providers, and only for the time required to process your request:
- Transcription. When you transcribe a video, the audio track is sent over HTTPS to a third-party speech-to-text provider, which returns a transcript. Pushie does not retain the audio or use it to train models. See Section 9 for more on AI providers.
- Video analysis. When you run video analysis, content-derived data from your video is sent over HTTPS to a third-party AI provider for visual analysis. Pushie does not retain that content or use it to train models. See Section 9 for more on AI providers.
- In-app AI chat. The in-app chat agent runs on a third-party AI provider using credentials you supply on your device. When you direct the agent to read files in your open project, those file contents are sent to the AI provider as part of your request. Pushie does not see, route, or store those prompts or responses.
Outside of these three flows, your project files, transcripts, generated concepts, and exported videos stay on your device unless you choose to share them.
3. Information we collect
3.1 Information you give us
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and either a password (which we store only as a cryptographic hash) or a Google account identifier if you sign in with Google. If you choose to upload a profile image, we store it.
Billing information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, you enter your payment details directly with Stripe, our payment processor. We receive from Stripe a customer identifier, subscription status, plan, amounts, renewal dates, and non-sensitive billing metadata. We never see or store full card numbers.
Waitlist information. If you join a waitlist on the Site, we collect your email address and the page or campaign source so we can contact you about availability through our email provider. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Support communications. When you email support, we receive your email address and the contents of your message.
3.2 Information generated by your use of the Services
Usage records. We log usage of metered features (such as transcription, video analysis, and in-app AI chat) to enforce subscription quotas. These records include a user identifier, the feature, and a timestamp. They do not include your transcripts, video content, or AI prompts.
Product analytics. We use a third-party analytics provider to understand which features people use and where errors occur. Events include user actions, feature outcomes, and errors. User IDs are associated with events only when you are signed in. We do not send transcripts, AI prompts, video content, audio, or the contents of your projects to our analytics provider. Stack traces from errors may contain file paths. Your content and usage may be visible in session recordings.
Technical information. When Daydream Desktop checks for software updates or reports errors, your device sends typical request metadata (IP address, Daydream version, operating system, general hardware class). The auto-updater contacts our software-update delivery provider to fetch release information; that provider sees your IP and the update-check request but receives no account or content data.
Cookies and local storage. The Site uses a first-party session cookie to keep you signed in, and our analytics provider may set identifiers on daydreamvideo.com. The desktop app also stores an authentication token locally on your device so you stay signed in between sessions. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
4. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Provide and operate the Services — authenticate you, run transcription and video analysis, enforce quotas, deliver updates.
- Process payments — charge your plan, manage renewals, prevent fraud (through Stripe).
- Communicate with you — send essential service emails (receipts, security notices, product-critical notices), respond to support, and — if you opt in — send product updates.
- Improve the Services — analyze aggregated usage, diagnose bugs, and prioritize features. We do not train AI models on your content.
- Protect the Services and our users — detect abuse, enforce our Terms, secure the product, and comply with legal obligations.
Legal bases under GDPR
For individuals in the EEA or UK, our legal bases for processing are:
- Contract — processing needed to deliver the Services you signed up for.
- Legitimate interests — running product analytics, securing the Services, and preventing abuse, balanced against your rights.
- Consent — where required (for example, optional marketing emails), withdrawable at any time.
- Legal obligation — where law requires retention (for example, tax records).
5. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only with the categories of service providers below, and only for the purposes listed.
- Payments. We use Stripe to process subscription payments. Billing details you enter at checkout, and subscription events, are handled by Stripe. See stripe.com/privacy.
- Cloud hosting, database, and authentication providers. Host our website and APIs, store account data and subscription metadata, and run sign-in. They receive account data, usage records, and request metadata.
- AI processing providers. Power transcription and video analysis features. They receive only the specific audio or video content you choose to process. Their handling of that content is governed by their own terms and privacy policies (see Section 9).
- In-app AI chat providers (user-initiated). The in-app chat agent connects directly to a third-party AI provider using credentials you supply on your device. When you use the agent, your prompts and any project files you direct it to read are sent to that provider under your credentials. This traffic does not pass through Pushie. The provider's handling of that content is governed by your agreement with them.
- Product-analytics and error-reporting providers. Help us understand product usage and diagnose errors. They receive event data, session recordings, signed-in user identifiers, and error stacks — no transcripts, prompts, media, or project content.
- Email service providers. Deliver waitlist, product, and transactional emails. They receive your email address and campaign source.
- Software update delivery. A third-party release host serves Desktop App updates. It receives your IP address and update-check request metadata.
Our service providers are primarily located in the United States. Specific vendor names are available on request to support@daydreamvideo.com.
We may also disclose information if we believe in good faith that doing so is required to (a) comply with law, subpoena, or court order; (b) enforce our Terms; (c) protect the rights, property, or safety of Pushie, our users, or the public; or (d) complete a corporate transaction such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to the same privacy commitments.
6. International data transfers
Pushie is based in the United States, and our service providers are primarily located in the United States. If you are in the EEA, UK, Switzerland, Canada, or another jurisdiction outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US and in other countries where our providers operate.
For transfers from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, where required we rely on appropriate safeguards, which may include Standard Contractual Clauses published by the European Commission (and the UK Addendum as applicable) and provider-level data-processing agreements.
7. How long we keep information
We retain personal information for as long as we reasonably need it to provide the Services and to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law (for example, for billing, tax, or legal-compliance reasons).
Audio submitted for transcription and video content submitted for video analysis are transient and are not retained beyond the time required to return the result.
If you delete your account or ask us to delete your data, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable time, subject to backup cycles and any legal-retention obligations.
8. Your privacy rights
8.1 Everyone
Regardless of where you live, you may:
- Cancel your subscription at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@daydreamvideo.com. Exercising your rights is free and will not cause us to treat you differently.

- Know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we collected it, and with whom we shared it.

8.5 Other jurisdictions
If your jurisdiction grants you additional rights (for example, under Brazil's LGPD, Virginia's VCDPA, Colorado's CPA, Connecticut's CTDPA, or similar laws), we will honor them consistent with our obligations. Contact us to exercise them.
9. AI features and model training
Pushie does not use your content to train machine-learning models.
Transcription and video analysis rely on third-party AI providers, which process the specific audio or video content you choose to submit in order to return results to you. The in-app chat agent runs on a third-party AI provider using credentials you supply on your device and is governed by your separate agreement with that provider; Pushie does not receive, route, or store those prompts or responses.
Those providers are independent third parties. Their handling of content you submit is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, which you should review for authoritative information on their processing and training practices.
10. Security
We take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect your personal information, including:
- HTTPS/TLS for all data in transit between your device, our servers, and our service providers.
- Password hashing using industry-standard algorithms.
- Access controls on production data.
- Segregated service credentials for third-party APIs.
- Regular dependency updates and security reviews.
No system is perfectly secure. You are responsible for keeping your account password safe and for using an up-to-date operating system.
Project files on your device are stored in an application-data directory and are not additionally encrypted at rest by Daydream; we recommend following security best practices to secure your data.
If we become aware of a security breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities in accordance with applicable law (for GDPR, without undue delay and where feasible within 72 hours).
11. Children
Daydream is not directed to children. The Services are intended for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact support@daydreamvideo.com and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email (to the address associated with your account) or by an in-product notice, and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Services after the effective date of a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
